Our journey started when a teenager made a failed attempt to take her own life because she had not eaten for days. We reacted quickly, paid her medical expenses, and she was saved. That moment defined our purpose โ we have never stopped since.

Growing up, I was told to go to school, get good grades and not worry about money. READ gave me the support to pursue my degree in petroleum engineering. From district topper to engineer โ READ believed in me when it was hardest.
When I heard there was an organization teaching sewing, I thought there was a ray of hope. READ gave me a sewing machine for free. Now my whole neighborhood comes to me. My children go to school every day.
